Bates Paving & Sealing, Inc has been contracted to mill & repave the roads on Lazy Heart, Tumbling F & Corral Way and will seal coat the roads on Lazy Heart, Bar X, Flying W, Western Way & Rafter Circle. (SEE MAP)

Milling and paving work will begin at approximately 6:00 AM each morning and will be completed approximately by 5:00 PM each afternoon.

On the days that they are milling (September 3), vehicles will be permitted to drive on the streets. There will be no parking allowed on the street. If you park in the streets during milling operations, your car will be towed at your expense. Please be aware that employees and heavy equipment will be working in the areas so please be cautious. There will be traffic control to help with the traffic.

During paving operations starting at 6:00 AM (September 8, 9, 10 & 11) traffic and parking will be prohibited. Vehicles can return at approximately 8:00 AM the next day (or when the barricades are removed). Access will never be restricted to emergency vehicles or in any emergency situation.

Seal coating work will be performed in 4 sections. Vehicles will have to be removed from the scheduled section by 7:00 AM the day the work is to be performed. Vehicles can return at approximately 8:00 AM the next day (or when the barricades are removed) to the streets. Sealcoating work is scheduled on September 14, 15, 16 & 17. (SEE MAP) The striping will take place the following day of each seal coating section.

Vehicles’ parked on the date scheduled in your area, will be towed at the owner’s expense. Bates Paving & Sealing will not be held liable for any damages incurred during towing.

Access will not be allowed in the work area until work has been completed and Bates removes barricades. (Emergency vehicles will be allowed at all times). If there is a delay in removing barricades due to weather, a Bates Paving representative will determine the proper time to remove them.

Things to remember: Trash and recycle pick up; mail and deliveries may be affected. No washing vehicles or irrigation during closure (area must remain dry – premature driving or watering will nullify warranty on affected area).

Common occurrences: Scuffmarks caused by vehicle tires, trash trucks may cause damage to sealer, lack of sealer adhesion to oil saturated areas, light transfer of sediment, cosmetic differences in appearance to areas inaccessible to machinery.

ROAD REPAIR WORK: Bopp Road: Sarasota Boulevard at Kinney Road

On Monday, May 4, Pima County Department of Transportation along with Southern Arizona Paving, will begin the construction project for the Bopp Road: Sarasota Boulevard at Kinney Road Improvement Project.

The work will consist of realigning Bopp Road to intersect Kinney Road at Sarasota Boulevard and will create a four-legged intersection. The project will include a new traffic signal and intersection lighting, depressed medians, a raised median island, minor drainage improvements, paved shoulders, curb access ramps, landscaping and irrigation. This project is expected to be completed by spring of 2021. The hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays will occur during this work.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.
